Symmetric processor Vs Asymmetric processor

ASMP

In asymmetric multiprocessing the program tasks (or threads) are strictly divided by type
In ASMP each processor has its own Memory and IO which other processor can not access.

So it is not possible to implement multitasking.

Example
The PS/2 Server 195 and Server 295

SMP :

Most of processor we use now are SMP processor, where all processors share the IO and Memory.
